Overview:
We would like to commend the Rockley family on the exceptional quality of the bulls we have purchased this year and previously. These bulls are impeccably bred, functional for our region and a delight to muster (by bike or horse). As beef producers it is paramount that our progeny do well at all stages, from calf to ox – this is what we are in business for!
Rockley provides a real bull for real cattlemen that are suited for all areas. If you want to improve or add both body and vigour to your existing herd, Rockley bulls won’t disappoint you.
After using a number of different bulls over our 80-100 breeders over the last 18 years at Millaa Millaa (Southern Tableland) when it came time to choose our latest sire we were looking for something that suited our climatic conditions, high cattle tick load and need to produce saleable beef. Also looking to retain a number of females for future breeders we wanted a quiet bull with very good conformation (particularly in body length, width and height) and with an outstanding growth rate. After doing a lot of research we purchased “Big Red” from Rockley Brahmans. We are very happy with him and recommend anyone looking for a Brahman Bull to make sure they consider Rockley.

Tom is “extra pleased” with the calves by Renly, a light pigmented sire that crosses well with Yoman females, a high percentage of which are also light pigmented. Renly has bred progeny consistently like himself, which has provided good value for money for Yoman Brahmans.
“Tyrion is breeding a high percentage of polled/scurred progeny, crossed over both polled and horned females and has bred a couple of standout calves”, said Tom.
We had always admired the Rockley Brahmans bull Picasso, and with the team’s support we were able to import Picasso semen to Botswana and make that dream a reality. The progeny have exceeded our expectations, and Ashley was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. After visiting Rockley in 2025 and seeing their outstanding red Brahmans firsthand, we highly recommend them — especially for international breeders looking to take their herd to the next level.

A third-generation Red Brahman breeder, Ashley Kirk has spent over 20 years refining genetics and championing ethical livestock practices. His mission is simple: deliver high-performing cattle that exceed client expectations. Through data-driven selection, IVF technology, and rigorous assessments, he ensures Rockley Brahmans produces fertile, efficient, and quiet-tempered cattle that integrate seamlessly into any herd.
Ashley believes clients should know exactly what they’re buying, offering ongoing consultation and transparent data to build long-term relationships. His dedication and expertise have earned him recognition as one of only nine Australians selected for the 2015 Graeme Acton Beef Connections Mentor Program, later returning as a mentor in 2021. He was also awarded an ABIF Scholarship to complete the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program.
Hardworking and hands-on, Ashley is more likely to roll up his sleeves than stand back—a mindset that helped him rebuild and elevate Rockley Brahmans into a leading enterprise. A keen learner, he has attended global cattle industry events in Panama, South Africa, and the US, gaining international insights into elite Brahman breeding.

We purchased Muan A Trimble (PP) at the 2020 Big Country Sale for $32,500.
Trimble is a real meat machine with strong bone. At the time of sale, he was a milk tooth, weighed 880kg and had a scrotal measurement of 40cm.
He is a medium-framed bull and an obvious good-doer with excellent muscle expression, strong carcass qualities and a hindquarter that is big, square and deep. Unfortunately, we lost Trimble in late 2020 but do have IVF calves that were born in 2022.

Danelaw is sleek coated sire with a lovely short head and strong broad muzzle. Out of our favourite donor cow and this mating has produced a very consistent product. He displays strong breed character, has a sound set of testicles and a tidy sheath making him a homozygous polled bull worth considering. Brahrock Raydar sons met the market favourably in 2023, averaging $32,500 for two sons.

A powerful homozygous sire with a strong pedigree and beautifully balanced in his phenotype and genotype. We knew we had something special when Aquaman was born! His dam is a powerhouse female. Five sons at Brahman Week averaged $45,900. His first daughter sold at Big Country 2023 for $25,000 and his first sons will be offered at Brahman Week 2023. Unfortunately, we lost Raydar in 2021 but we are fortunate to have his semen at our disposal.

Kent is a cherry red sire, tremendously balanced, all in a homozygous polled package. A bull we will use heavily due to his consistent pedigree, balance of phenotype, genotype and overall structural soundness. His full brother Arkyn (PS) sold to the highly regarded Fairy Springs Stud for $80,000 at Rockhampton Brahman Week, 2023. Dam is a feminine, smooth coated female that has bred every year in between IVF and ET programs, calf at foot in 2023.
A bull with strong carcass traits and a nice combination of muscle and fat cover. A breed average birth weight bull, in the 10% for gestation length, with above average growth, that we believe would make him the ideal to put over heifers. In the top 5% scrotal size, 2 % retail yield and 16% flight time (temperament). Kent is also in the top 10% for the Central Production Index and top 18% for the Live Export Index.
